A new wine importer has introduced a range of Argentinian wines at both the value and premium ends of the market.

Condor Wines’ offer includes the Maipe range of entry-level house wines from Bodega Chakana, six bargain wines from Bodega La Rural and four premium products from boutique producer Bodegas Krontiras.

The new company was set up by two former on-trade professionals with first-hand experience of brewing, hotels and pubcos.

Lee and Maria Evans spent 10 months in Argentina establishing direct relationships with eight wineries embracing more than 50 different products from both ends of the price spectrum.

“We have selected wineries that produce top-quality wines by successfully blending the best of their resources,” said Condor’s managing director
Lee Evans, formerly of Carlsberg UK.
