Accolade Wines: Ginger Joe boosts on-trade presence with Yates's and Carlsberg UK listing
The Stonegate listing will target Ginger Joe’s key demographic of 22 to 30-year-old men and women, who regularly use the Yates’s brand.
The brand’s imminent listing with Carlsberg UK, added to existing deals with Matthew Clark, Makro and Molson Coors, will increase its presence in on-trade wholesale.
Accolade has developed a range of point-of-sale material including branded glassware and bar runners to support the brand’s on-trade roll-out.
Clare Griffiths, European marketing director at Accolade Wines, said that Ginger Joe has gone from strength-to-strength since it’s launch in February 2011. “We are confident that consumers will continue to embrace the brand as it not only has a natural ginger beer taste but has a unique, bold and quirky identity, which continues to grow in popularity,” she said.
The alcoholic ginger beer category is currently worth £70m in the UK on-trade,
