Carlsberg UK appoints Bruce Ray as corporate affairs director

Carlsberg UK has appointed Bruce Ray to the newly created role of corporate affairs director.

Ray, who will report into CEO Benet Slay and will lead Carlsberg UK's strategy on corporate social responsibility, and responsible drinking. 

He will be responsible for engaging with the Department of Health's Responsibility Deal and participation in industry panels such as the Portman Group and the British Beer and Pub Association.
 
Slay said: "Ray joins Carlsberg UK at a time when our beer brands are growing share and the alcohol industry is firmly in the spotlight. With his successful track record, knowledge of key issues and his influence in this industry, we are pleased Bruce will be joining us."
 
Ray joins after 18 years at Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands where he has held the position of director of external affairs for the last six years.
