Sidney Phillips sells 10 freehold pubs at auction

Sidney Phillips has sold three freehold pubs at an auction held in south Wales last week, with an additional seven properties selling prior to the event.

The Railway Inn in Tonna, Neath, sold for £88,000, off a guide price of £125,000; Dylans in Cwmavon, Port Talbot, Neath, sold for £90,000 (guide price £110,000); and Pant Cad Ifor Inn, Pant, sold for £205,000 (guide price £195,000).

The pubs that sold prior to the auction were:

■ The Bank, Port Talbot, which had a guide price of £125,000.

■ Star Inn in Wick, Vale of Glamorgan, which had a guide price of £225,000.

■ Maesycwmmer Inn, Hengoed, which had a guide price of £125,000.

■ Dunraven Arms Hotel, Bridgend, which had a guide price of £295,000.

■ Dunraven Hotel, Bryncethin, Bridgend, which had a guide price of £125,000.

■ Fox and Hounds, Blackmill, Bridgend, which had a guide price of £175,000.

■ Cilfynydd Inn, Cilfynydd, Pontypridd, which had a guide price of £95,000.

A total of 24 pubs went under the hammer.
