London 2012 Olympics: Father of South African Olympic gold medalist Bert Le Clos celebrates his son's win at the Slug@Wimbledon
Le Clos, became a sensation following his heartfelt interview on BBC with Claire Balding after his son’s win over American Michael Phelps in the 200 meter butterfly.
The Sharks (SA) rugby fan joined customers to watch his team play Chiefs (NZ) which is part of the Super 15 tournament on Saturday.
“What a lovely man. He is so proud, and rightly so of his son’s achievement. Our customers at Slug@Wimbledon, many of whom are South African and Sharks fans too really warmed to him and we were delighted to welcome him back on Saturday night to party Slug@Wimbledon style”, said Greg Crammond, manager.
