Competition: Win the ultimate Carlsberg quiz for your pub

Carlsberg, official beer of the England team, has called up Reid and Rush as team captains while Hollins will host the events, which will be held to tie in with four of England’s World Cup qualifiers.

David Scott, Carlsberg UK’s director of marketing, said: “This is a great opportunity for pubs to host legends of the game, drive football fans into the pub and engage with customers.

“As official beer of the England team we want to reward pubs and fans for their support for England on the road to Brazil and look forward to the nation showing their support and watching the games in their local pubs.”

Reid said: “If you can’t be at the stadium, the pub is the next best place to watch the game with your mates and support England. I can’t wait to share my views on the game and, of course, captain a team in the ultimate Carlsberg pub quiz.

“I look forward to testing my skills and hope to get some knowledgeable fans on my team. I always play to win.”

Rush and Reid made more than 1,000 appearances between them for the likes of Everton, Man City, Liverpool and Juventus.  

Four winning pubs will be selected from across the country to host one of the quizzes. The Carlsberg team will be at the pub for a post-work drink and punters will be chosen by the team captains to take part in the quiz.

This will be followed by a Q&A with Rush and Reid before kick-off. The legends will provide pre-match, half-time and post-game analysis.
