Carlsberg UK sales director Chris Houlton steps down after 14 years
Carlsberg UK has announced that Chris Houlton is to step down as sales director on 28 September after 14 years with the brewer.
Chief executive Benet Slay is to oversee the sales team whilst a replacement is being recruited, the company said.
Houlton said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed working for Carlsberg UK and feel we have made significant progress in what is a highly competitive UK market. We have transformed our on-trade and distribution business in recent years and have grown significant share and profit in all our trade channels. Our customer relationships are second to none and I will leave this winning business with some great memories.
“It is time for me to move on and I thank our customers for their support over the years.”
Slay said: “We thank Chris for his significant contribution to Carlsberg UK. He leaves with our best wishes after many successful years.”
