A group of business development managers (BDM’s) at Greene King pub partners are set to enrol on a Masters qualification in Multi-Unit Leadership.

Andrew Scanlon, Geoff Liyanage, Mike O’Connor and Peter Knowles were amongst 12 Greene King BDMs who completed diplomas in Multi-Unit Leadership at Birmingham City University.

Additionally, Andrew Scanlon, alongside colleague Dan Castle, has been named as a finalist in the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers (ALMR) Operations Managers Awards. Both will be subject to assessment over the coming months and the winners will be announced in December.

Greene King managing director Simon Longbottom said: “We’re very proud of our investment in our BDMs. It’s critical to our business that our tenants get the very best consultation and in my mind this comes with training and experience, something our BDM’s have in droves. This particular qualification develops the team into top class business consultants.”

He added: “The ALMR awards are particularly exciting as this is an award several members of our current team have achieved in the past and we hope that Andrew and Dan will soon join that roll of honour.”
