Women 1st, the initiative to increase the representation of women in the industry, is holding a health, wealth and networking event on 13 November.

The event will be hosted by YO! Sushi with The Times’ nutritionist, Amanda Ursell, and the owner of The Women’s Wealth Expert, Hannah Foxley, at its Farringdon, London, headquarters.

Women 1st aims to increase the representation of women on boards across hospitality, passenger transport, travel and tourism, and the networking event will target women working in those industries.

Sharon Glancy, founder of Women 1st, said: “We are committed to helping women achieve their career ambitions and we know being continuously on top of your game is tough. That’s why we have two of the UK’s leading experts to offer tips and advice on how to stay fit, healthy and plan for the future. And as with any Women 1st networking event, you’ll also have plenty of opportunities to network with other like-minded women.”

Ursell, is one of the most influential health professionals in the UK. She has been awarded the Health Writer of the Year award and regularly contributes to Woman’s Weekly, Healthy Food Guide magazine and appears on BBC Breakfast, ITV’s Daybreak and the Tonight programme.

She said: “I attended the inaugural Women 1st conference in June and wanted to be part of this amazing programme to help women. Most of us are aware that we need to eat healthily, but all too often our busy lifestyles mean that we consume food that’s just not conducive to our wellbeing. I am keen to talk to women about how they can maintain their energy throughout the day to improve concentration, decrease stress and beat the burnout at work.”
