Greene King: focusing on food
Greene King has introduced a kitchen management training course for its tenants.

The KitMan food course has been designed to help tenants introduce or improve a food offer. The interactive day course includes workshops, presentations, case studies for inspiration and a cook-off. It covers subjects including creating a menu, kitchen management, improving food delivery and capitalising on Christmas.

"This new course has been carefully designed to help tenants create the right food offering for their business," said managing director for Greene King Pub partners Simon Longbottom.

"Getting the balance between maximising the potential business opportunity and what’s manageable is key. We’re very proud of the KitMan training and the feedback we’ve had on it so far has been excellent. In fact some of our tenants who had been previously shying away from offering Christmas lunch have told us they now have the confidence and the skills to do it."
