Coca-Cola Enterprises teams up with CPL Training to run two online training courses

Coca-Cola Enterprises has teamed up with CPL Training to run two online training courses.

The Perfect Serve and the Perfect Mix programmes are being delivered across the UK to pubs, clubs and bars where the soft drink is sold. The courses will demonstrate the correct way to pour and mix the drink, explain the daily maintenance of equipment and help staff to understand the importance of soft drink visibility in their premises.

David Dasher, managing director at CPL, said: “As one of the most established suppliers to the on-premise, it’s easy to understand why a company such as Coca-Cola Enterprises is keen to ensure its product is served correctly. It understands how to make the most of its range of soft drinks and the equipment used to serve them. It’s very important to equip those serving its drinks with the same essential knowledge and information.”

The courses run approximately 15 minutes each and include an Avatar character wearing a Coca-Cola uniform re-enacting real life scenarios in a typical bar setting. Coca-Cola has delivered the courses to over 500 sites, and over 7,000 people have sat and completed the courses during flexible hours, both in the workplace and at home.

Geraldine McKenna, shopper marketing manager at Coca-Cola Enterprises, said: “We’re extremely pleased with the tools CPLe-learning has provided us with. It’s crucial that bar staff understand our products and how to serve them to maximise the opportunity soft drinks present to pubs, clubs and bars. Getting the serve right will help to drive further sales.”

CPL’s partnership with Coca-Cola is the latest in a raft of deals with the drinks industry, including online programmes with brewer Daniel Thwaites and bar chain Revolution Vodka Bars.
