Best Bar None appoints national director
Best Bar None (BBN), the national award scheme, has appointed Simon Jackson as the new national director. He will report directly to chief executive, Tim Hulme and will take up the post at the beginning of May 2013.

Jackson will work across the whole of BBN helping to raise public awareness, help develop new schemes and grow revenues.  Jackson was the former CEO of Swindon Business Improvement District and has worked as a publican, Wholesaler in the licensing trade and a council licensing officer.

Tim Hulme, chief executive of the BII and National BBN, said: “The BBN Board is delighted to have recruited someone as experienced as Simon. His track record in running a very successful BID in Swindon stood out during the interview process and with his knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing the night time economy, the board is looking forward to working with Simon in further extending and developing the BBN brand."

Jackson said: "I’m excited about this role and I’m looking forward to the challenge of building the BBN brand as well as adding value for the BBN schemes.”
