Bakery specialist Delice de France has acquired Boulangeries de France.

Managing director of Boulangeries de France Thierry Cacaly will take over the da-to-day running of the merged businesses. "We will continue to put great bakery at the centre of our business, bringing the advantages of Delice’s quality products and national network together with Boulangeries personal touch and service," he said.

Dermot Murphy, UK country manager for Aryzta, Delice’s parent company, said: "Delice de France is a great business with strong bakery traditions and we feel that the acquisition of Boulangeries de France is a positive move. Our customers will benefit from the combined local market insight and enterprising, passionate spirit.
