Be at One employee shortlisted in Women 1st awards

A Be at One Cocktail Bars employee has become the only female in the drinks industry to be shortlisted in the Women 1st 2013 Shine Awards.

Marketing manager Sarah Swaysland has been named as one of five contenders in the running for the Stepping Up title – a new category.

The category is open to women who are progressing through the ranks of middle management and have shown real commitment to their roles.

The accolades, which celebrate outstanding female and diversity achievement in the hospitality, passenger transport, travel and tourism industries, will be presented at a gala dinner on 19 June at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London following the second annual Women 1st​ conference.

Altogether eight awards will be presented at the ceremony including Woman of the Year, outstanding entrepreneur and lifetime achievement.

The evening will also see 25 inspirational women inducted into the Women 1st​ Top 100 Club, which acknowledges the most influential women in the hospitality, passenger transport, travel and tourism industries.
