New branding and livery for for Tribute ale
St Austell’s flagship Tribute brand is to be re-launched as a ‘Cornish pale ale’ to capitalise on its provenance and encourage trial by making it clear to drinkers what to expect from the beer.

Tribute Cornish Pale Ale will also get a new purple livery and the following slogan: ‘A delightfully delicious and drinkable beer that captures the essential character of Cornwall.’

The brewery has already introduced the changes to the brand’s pumpclips and the move was so well received the re-brand will be introduced across all formats.

“Tribute continues to enjoy impressive growth in pubs, as well as in the take-home market, with sales in supermarkets up 30% in 2012,” said marketing and communications director Jeremy Mitchell.

Mitchell said market research had highlighted that new customers wanted a clear product description.

The 4.2% ABV ale, which is made with specially-grown Cornish gold malt, is available on draught in bottles and cans.
