Harveys, the Sussex brewer and pub operator, has launched a new support package for its tenants.

It’s based on a half-day interactive training workshop covering four steps to marketing success, looking at issues such as copywriting for customers and data capture. At the end of the workshop tenants complete a six-month action plan with a follow-up one-to-one site visit.

The package has been put together with pub training mentor Ali Carter.

Around 30 tenants from Harveys’ 47-strong estate have signed up to attend the workshops.

It comes as the company introduces its app called Find The Harveys Near You.

Geoffrey Denne, Harveys estate manager, said: “Our tenants have run some wonderfully located and historic pubs but we wanted to help them drive more business by equipping them with the marketing skills they need to help them in today’s highly complex, and competitive market.

“Individual tenants need to have an exciting on-line presence as well as a traditional marketing strategy, and we at Harveys realise they need help with this if they are to compete effectively.”
