A Somerset pub is hosting a restaurant at the Glastonbury festival this year.

Owners of the Red Lion in Babcary, Charles and Clare Garrad, will be serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner at a 150-cover restaurant with table service. The four-day pop-up will be located backstage in the hospitality area every day with resident DJ Jacques Adda.

Breakfast and brunch will be served from 8am to noon with a full English and other cooked breakfasts on offer as well as pancakes with maple syrup, yogurt and granola and bloody Marys. Lunch and dinner options include smoked mackerel, beetroot salsa and chargrilled bread; pan fried fillet hake, lentil curry and sour lime spinach; and the Red Lion burger with smoked cheese, bacon, chips and dressed leaves. A selection of desserts are also available.

Drinks-wise customers can order a jug of fresh lemonade or alcoholic options such as the Festival Special Pint-Sized Mojito Cocktail, wine and sparkling wine.

After Glastonbury the Red Lion will host a full programme of music at the pub’s own outdoor entertainment area with a pizza oven and dance area.
