Halloween Cocktail Cauldrons unveiled by WKD
The 1.4 litre cauldrons are designed for themed sharing cocktails which fizz and in some cases change colour thanks to “foamy powder” which is being distributed to outlets as part of the campaign.
When added to drinks such as WKD Pumpkin Grin (WKD Iron Brew, whisky, lime & lemonade), WKD Witches Brew (WKD Purple, herbal liqueur & lemonade) and WKD Goblin Juice (WKD Green, raspberry liqueur & lemonade), the mint & lime flavoured powder creates a “spectacular” fizzing effect and turns blue cocktails green.
“Halloween is becoming a bigger and bigger event in the social calendar each year,” said marketing director Debs Carter.
“We aim to reflect its growing importance by providing licensees with in-outlet activity which not only generates footfall and drives sales, but also creates a great atmosphere for consumers and helps build the overall sense of occasion.”
Posters, table talkers and hanging mobiles featuring mummies and witches astride bottles of WKD will promote the initiative in venues.
This year Halloween (31 October) falls on a Thursday.
Last month the brand joined forces with music streaming service Spotify to create a series of "crowd sourced" nights out.
