The new design returns to the original green colour that was associated with the cider when it was first launched in the UK in 2005, owner the C&C Group said.
“It has been important to us to recapture the values at the heart of the Magners brand, whilst creating a new and contemporary look and feel to the packaging,” explained marketing director, Paul Condron.
“The new design is more modern, but with references to the iconic cider vats that people will always associate with Magners.”
The new packaging will roll out across bottles, cans and draught throughout this month and a new glass for pubs and bars will also be introduced.
The new glass works for both the bottled over-ice and the draught versions of the cider, which will simplify the “Magners on-trade offering,” said Condron.

The move follows a period of increased investment in the brand this year, which saw it return to TV advertising in a multi-million pound campaign launched in April.
The new campaign focused on the idea of Irish sociability with the slogan “Now is a Good Time.”
The complete Magners range consists of apple, pear, berry and Golden Draught ciders.
