The Alma Newington Green
The Alma, in Newington Green, north London, has re-opened with a new tenant at the helm, one month after former licensee Kirsty Valentine was evicted following a four-year legal dispute with owner Enterprise Inns.

According to the Alma's new Twitter account, the pub resumed trading at 5pm yesterday after an experienced publican was taken on on a tenancy-at-will.

However, it also stated that 20-30 people today have visited the pub expressing interest in taking on the lease full-time.

Enterprise has advertised the property on its website, outlining the annual rent as £35,000, which is thought to be more than the price offered to Valentine after she lost her PICA-Service case.

It states: “The pub will require investment and any applicant must be well funded and be prepared to invest approximately £75k.”

Valentine was removed from the pub by bailiffs on 8 November for non-payment of rent.
