MasterChef: The Professional winner Anton Piotrowski is opening his second pub on 7 February.

Freehold the Springer Spaniel in Treburley near Launceston in Cornwall will open under company name Treby Taverns and seats 65 people across a bar, private dining area and a snug with another 25 outside. Piotrowski, chef proprietor of the Treby Arms in Sparkwell, Devon and director of Treby Taverns, will move to the new pub to get the offer set up.

The food will be modern British classics, similar to that served at the Treby Arms, with produced sourced within 20 miles of the pub. The bar will serve all local ales with a large selection of whiskeys and wines.

The pub will open in February following a ‘general tidy up’ with a larger-scale refurbishment possible in the future.

Future plans

"Anton is concentrating on offering a fantastic service to customers from both pubs that he has at present," said a spokesman, when asked whether more sites would follow.

"His media schedule is still very busy. Anton will be appearing at numerous cooking events throughout the UK. He is also working separately with a TV production company. Watch this space."

Piotrowski added: "The pub will be the big sister to the Treby Arms. I want to offer our customers and locals great food, a relaxed atmosphere and service by friendly and welcoming staff. I look forward to meeting and greeting the locals."

The Treby Arms won Best Food Pub in the Publican’s Morning Advertiser’s Great British Pub Awards 2013.
