The range aims to minimise food waste and provide caterers with an easy, tasty product.
There are five breads in the collection, which are supplied frozen and can be oven-baked in 15 to 18 minutes. The sourdough country loaf; wheat-free 100% rye loaf; rustic brown loaf; crusty white village bread; and a mixed box comprising two of each make up the new range.
Bread sales up
Speciality bread sales are up 8% in the last five years, according to Mintel, and is predicted to grow 24% to £4.8bn by 2018.
Hannah Lenthall, product marketing executive at Bidvest 3663, said: "We have developed this range of longer-life artisan breads to help to minimise waste.
"Bread plays such an important role on any menu. By offering diners a range of artisan breads, caterers are able to provide choice for their customers whilst creating the opportunity to increase their margin by providing a more premium menu item."
