Cornish cider company Healeys has launched a new crafted pouring cider to be distributed by St Austell Brewery.

The 4.5% ABV Healeys Cornish Gold will be fermented, blended and kegged in Cornwall and distributed by the family brewery to pubs and bars across the south-west.

It is already available and Healeys said it hopes to see the product served in 150 outlets by July.

Commercial director Joe Healey said: “We’ve noticed there is a market for a quality, competitively-priced pouring cider to sit alongside our premium Rattler brand.

“Healeys Cornish Gold is very much a crafted cider with each batch blended individually, tasted and quality-tested here on the farm.”

He added: “This is an exciting new market for us and we’re hoping for the volume to increase incrementally over the coming months. It is also great to be strengthening our ongoing relationship with another Cornish business, St Austell Brewery who will be distributing Healeys Cornish Gold.”

Last year Healeys invested in a new in-house kegging system allowing it to keg its ciders on-site.
