A Bristol pub is giving film fans the opportunity to watch their favourite movie on the big screen with the launch of a ‘Bring Your Own’ night.

Movie lovers can take their DVDs along to The Director’s Cut, a 26-seat luxury cinema situated within Young's pub Horts, on Broad Street, where they can enjoy a silver screen experience whilst watching their chosen flick.

The cinema, which is hired out every Tuesday, is open to groups of friends or individuals with any remaining seats advertised externally.

There is no cost to hire the room but movie goers are required to eat a main meal in the pub’s restaurant.

Featuring soft club leather chairs, foot stools, individual side tables, cushions and rugs, the cinema opened last year as part of a £300,000 refurbishment.

Hort’s manager Richard Fairchild said: “It’s a brilliant space and the response we’ve had from film fans so far has been fantastic. We’re open to suggestions and look forward to welcoming film fans from across the city.”
