Greene King has revamped its apprenticeship scheme and announced its new training partner.

Lifetime Training will be tasked with delivering on Greene King’s pledge to recruit 2,000 apprentices this year.

The new programme will include bespoke qualifications that support a range of roles including front of house, kitchen and management tailored to each of the Greene King retail brands. The training will be made up of a blend of workplace learning and industry masterclasses.

Since its launch in 2011, The Greene King Discovery Apprenticeship scheme has seen more than 3,500 employees achieve a qualification. 

John Smith, group HR director for Greene King said: “Developing our team members’ talent and potential is key to our workforce development plans. Following our ambition to recruit 2,000 new apprenticeships this year, we wanted to design a series of apprenticeship programmes that are tailored to each of the job roles across our brands and divisions. It is important that we have the right partner to help us deliver this plan.”
