Punch Taverns has launched a facility that will allow licensees to see how much profit they are making from fruit machines in their pubs.

The new feature, available through the pub operator’s Buying Club website, provides reports on the history of the machines and identifies trends to maximise profitability.

Known as the Machine Reporting Suite, the tool also provides financial information relating to Machine Games Duty & VAT and is accessible by pub accountants on request.

Julie Clamp, Punch Taverns machines development manager said the resource had been developed due to demand from Punch partners. “A number have found Machine Games Duty difficult to understand and account for and [it] fits within our strategy to provide greater, more personal support for our partners,” she explained.

“Partners can easily move between top level or machine-specific data to review their overall machines offer and it can particularly save Partners time when completing tax returns.”
