Brewing luminary Derek Prentice is back in charge of the tanks for the first time since retiring in January, as guest brewer at InnBrighton’s Laine Brewery.

Prentice, who was the former brewing manager at Fuller’s, has joined the multiple operator’s Aeronaut brewpub in Acton, west London, and is presiding over Laine’s India Pale Ale.

Prentice is also planning a new brewing project, but said he was unable to disclose any more details at present.

“While my new project is in the planning stages it has been great to keep my hand in,” he said.

InnBrighton CEO Gavin George said: "We are over the moon to have persuaded Derek to do a brew with us at the Aeronaut. When a west London brewing legend lends his skills and experience to making a beer, you know that the result will be something pretty special."
