A new wine bar and shop in Manchester will be offering customers tapas style food when it opens on 18 August.

Salut Wines run by Jon and Sara Saunby will be serving five tapas style plates of food along with 42 different wines by the glass.

The site will also house a wine shop featuring the city’s largest installation of Enomatic machines – a wine preservation and dispensing system that is used throughout Europe.

The machines will hold 32 different wines and customers can opt to buy a 500ml sample of any wine sold by the glass before choosing a full bottle.

There will also be a further 200 wines on the shelves as well as a fine wine cabinet.

The site will host Wine and Spirit Education Trust Levels 2 and 3 on Monday and Tuesday nights and Master Classes will be scheduled throughout the year.

Wine bars/shops are becoming an increasingly popular concept with Vagabond Wines operating two London sites as well as Vinoteca which also has a number of sites across London.
