A number of pubs are running family events over the summer
Licensees are planning a range of events and promotions to attract families during the summer holidays.

The Swan Hotel in Almondsbury, Gloucestershire is running a competition for children dining at the pub during the school holiday. Paper swans will be available for decoration, with the child creating the best decorated swan eating free for a year.

At the Robin Hood, in Blufflers Holt, Buckinghamshire, kids can eat free during the summer holidays. From 21 July to 3 September, children under 12 will receive one free meal per adult main course.

The Dove pub in Broadway Market, London is also offering a kids eat free promotion until the end of August.

All the fun of the fair

The Victoria Park Pub & Kitchen in Bristol is hosting an annual family fun day and table tennis competition on Saturday 12 July.

Activities on offer include giant board games, face painting, mug painting, a charity raffle and a barbecue.

Youngs’ pub the Chequers in Walton on the Hill, Surrey is also putting on an afternoon summer fair on 19 July that will feature different stalls, children's activities and barbecue.

The Swan in Salford, Buckinghamshire, part of the Peach Pub Company, is hosting a garden party on 24 ​August to cap off the summer holidays.

The event will feature afternoon tea on the lawn, a live band and a barbecue.

The pub is also running ‘Movies under the Moon’, where classic summertime films will be shown in the garden every Sunday in August from 7pm. Homemade popcorn will be on offer.
