Share A Coke launches in pubs
Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) is bringing its successful “Share a Coke” campaign back to pubs and bars this summer.

From now until September the Coca-Cola logo on 330ml glass bottles will be replaced with the word “mate” on Coca-Cola original, “bestie” on Diet Coke bottles and “dude” on bottles of Coke Zero.

PoS kits are being distributed as part of the campaign, and drinkers will be offered scratch cards giving them the chance to win a set of six personalised bottles to share with family and friends.

“Share a Coke has captured the imagination of consumers across Great Britain and bringing it back to the on-trade is an exciting opportunity for licensees this summer,” said Wes McKenna, sales director – cold, at CCE

“Our research has told us that the 330ml Coca-Cola glass bottle is the preferred cola format for consumers in a number of key licensed environments and bringing Share a Coke to these packs promises to help drive sales for licensees throughout the summer.”

The campaign has already been reived in the off-trade, where bottles feature the UK’s most popular names, and will be further boosted with a new TV ad, as well as billboard and online adverts this summer.

Share a Coke has been a huge success for the brand since it was first launched in the off-trade in April last year. It was then rolled out across the on-trade in July, inviting pub-goers to upload a picture of themselves and a friend enjoying a bottle of Coke in order to win a personalised glass bottle.
