Channel 5 has filmed a programme based on the day-to-day lives of Marston’s employees.

One Ale Of A Job, narrated by ‘Pub Landlord’ Al Murray, will be broadcast in September.

The three-part series, produced by Shine TV, follows everyone from the hop growers to brewers, bottlers and pub staff.

Richard Westwood, managing director for Marston’s, said: “Our team thoroughly enjoyed being part of the programme-making process earlier this year. The end result offers some entertaining insights into the workings of our industry and the unsung heroes who just get on with their work with humour, expertise and an overriding love for their job.”

Lorna-Dawn Creanor, executive producer at Shine TV, said: "Making beer and running a brewery is a fascinating process, add into the mix entertaining and charismatic characters and you have a recipe for must see TV.”
