He scooped the title of Chef of the Year at the GQ Men of the Year 2014 awards last night.

Kerridge, who holds two Michelin stars at his pub the Hand and Flowers in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, joined the crowd of A-list celebs for GQ magazine’s 17th annual awards ceremony which took place at London’s Royal Opera House.

On winning the award Kerridge told GQ magazine: “In 2011 we opened the first two Michelin starred pub. It’s a triumph for a fat middle aged bloke to be stood on the stage at the GQ awards.”

Jason Atherton won the award in 2013.

Future plans

Kerridge has recently launched a new book called Tom Kerridge’s Best Ever Dishes and is set to host a television show of the same name due to air in October on BBC Two.

Along with his wife Beth, Kerridge will also be opening a second pub in Marlow in November called the Coach – an Enterprise lease which will focus on all day dining.
