Heineken's new Star Rewarsd scheme launches this week
Brewer Heineken has introduced a new scheme which rewards freehold and tenanted pubs for stocking its packaged beer and cider brands.

Launched this week, Star Rewards gives licensees the opportunity to collect points for stocking a range of Heineken bottled products including Desperados, Bulmers, Tiger and Old Mout Cider.

Publicans will be in control of their own points and rewards, which range from vouchers and POS merchandise, to staff uniforms and experience days out.

The brewer has created an app where licensees can collect, monitor and exchange their points. This provides a quick and easy-to-use platform and allows up to five users to collect and save points simply by scanning a code on each case of product.

Innovations

Andrew Turner, on-trade category and trade marketing director at Heineken, said: “As category leaders in cider and beer, we want to continue to inspire publicans to stock our growing portfolio and Star Rewards is a great way for us to give back to our customers.

“Product development is also a huge focus for us and our innovations are researched, developed and launched to add value to our customers’ business by meeting consumer demand. With Star Rewards, licensees can also collect points for trialling and stocking new products.”

Earlier this year, Heineken launched the Our Shout pub marketing scheme which offers pubs a range of services designed to increase footfall and boost spend per head.
