Provenance includes vacuum-fried fruit in new Sunakku bagged snacks range

The Provenance Trading Co’s Sunakku range of snacks include a mix of fruits, nuts and yogurt-coated raisins and honeycomb.

The range includes a variety of dried and “uniquely” vacuum-fried fruits, which is said to produce a light crispy snack with an intense natural flavour.

Originally developed for making crisps, a vacuum fryer is a deep-frying device that sits inside a vacuum chamber.

Some packs are fruit only, while others in the range include nuts or are paired with the raisins and honeycomb.

Traceability​

Reflecting the company name, Provenance Trading managing director Nick Charlton said his company focuses on product provenance and promises to deliver traceability from the farm.

The company is also committed to sourcing ingredients from around the world that bring originality and innovation to the UK snack category, Charlton explained.

He added: “The motivation for the company is to both source and create snacks that add something really new for consumers.

“By using our unique process of vacuum-frying our fruit, I challenge anyone not to agree that it delivers an explosion of natural fruity flavour in the mouth!”
