Absolut goes cherry
Owner Pernod Ricard said the “fresh, fruity and smooth” vodka was very versatile and suitable for cocktails or, more simply, over ice with cola.
It will be launched on 9 October and will be promoted in the on-trade with branded glassware and a range of bespoke cockails created by brand ambassador Ricardo Dynan.
“Absolut Cherrys is a great new addition to our flavours family,” explains marketing controller, Adam Boita.
“Cherry is such a popular flavour that's ideal for mixing and shows how we are continuing to innovate within the flavoured vodka segment. We're driven by a passion to transform – to find new and exciting combinations that inspire consumers and bartenders alike to create great tasting cocktails.”
At the same time Absolut Vanilla is to get a re-design, featuring an “eye catching cross in white paint across the front of the bottle.”
