Managed pub operator TCG has designed bespoke menus for its pubs under the Good Honest Food initiative.

TCG said each menu had been created to appeal to individual sites’ customer bases, resulting in 32 variations across the 36 venues taking the Good Honest Food menu.

The menus also include several new dishes, which the company said “reflect the continuing influence of American cuisine on UK casual dining”.

These include: macaroni and cheese with pulled pork; a quarter back of barbecued ribs; a slow-cooked beef and onion club sandwich; and sharing nachos.

The burger selection has also been extended while the desserts section includes a Jaffa ice cream cake and banoffee pie.

Meal deals

All menus feature promotional offers, such as two meals for a fixed price, ‘2 for 1’ on desserts, or the option to add a salad or portion of chips to some dishes for just £1.

Ben Levick, TCG director of operations, said: “We aim to equip our pub and bar teams with the right food and drink to enable them to be the best in their local market.

“The launch of these new Good Honest Food menus is the most tailored support we’ve created and effectively gives all our sites a bespoke food offer.

“This site-specific approach, along with the addition of some exciting, on-trend dishes and strong promotional offers, gives us every confidence in the new menus.

“The run up to Christmas is an important one for pubs and bars to showcase their food offer and the new menus will help our sites to position themselves as the best in the area for quality, affordable and appealing food.”

TCG’s Good Honest Food menus are offered in 36 of its pubs. Separate menus are offered in its Henry’s Café Bars and King’s Feast community pubs.
