The deadline for entries to the Moy Park Foodservice SnaX Factor competition, which invites chefs to create a bar snack using its chicken products, is now midnight on 28 November.
The winning bar snack idea will be given £1,000 in cash and more than £20,000 worth of products.
Moy Park said the extended deadline gives pub chefs the opportunity to trial festive platters and bar snacks throughout November.
It claimed it was looking for a stand-out bar snack that showed an understanding of the versatility of chicken.
Frannie Santos-Mawdsley, senior customer marketing manager for foodservice, at Moy Park, said: “There is always a surge in eating out among groups during the festive season, so why not make the most of the increased custom at this time of year to offer up your creative Moy Park chicken snacks?
“With an extended competition deadline, pub chefs now have the ideal opportunity to trial festive platters and bar snacks using our chicken products throughout the coming month.
Santos-Mawdsley added: “We’re looking for that stand-out bar snack from chefs with an understanding of the versatility of chicken and a number of profit opportunities that are opened up because of this.
“Imagination is everything – that’s what gives you the SnaX Factor.”
To participate, pubs need to send a picture of their creation to www.moyparkfoodservice.com/snax-factor. Five finalists will then be chosen to face a public vote to determine the overall winner.
