A Devonshire brewery has launched a commemorative beer to support the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Otter Brewery will donate 5p every time a customer orders a pint of its specially-created Poppy Otter.

The aim is to raise as much money as possible for the Royal British Legion in a year where the charity needs to raise £40m to fund its ongoing welfare work.

Poppy Otter is a chestnut-coloured 4% ABV beer, brewed with a blend of English hops and Pacific Gem, giving a hint of blackberry in the flavour and aroma.
It will be available to publicans throughout November.

Luke Roberts, senior sales rep, said: “As a family run brewery we couldn't think of a better way to help those who assist our Armed Forces. It fits perfectly with Otter’s support of the community and allows us and our drinkers to help remember our fallen heroes.”
