Hawkshead Brewery launches beer ordering app for licensees
The free ‘Hawkshead Brewery Sales’ catalogue style app allows its 300 regular trade customers to order cask, keg and bottled products via their devices.
Users can browse the beer list, view artwork, tasting notes and prices and submit an order, which is stored on the device and sent once a data connection is available.
“The app is an extra service,” a spokeswoman for the brewery said. “It is designed to be used anytime day or night and eliminates the need for leaving notes in the cellar or behind the bar for the next shift.”
The app, which was designed by Cumbrian based Hut8 Media, is available from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
