A new beer for dogs brewed in Belgium has been launched in the UK.

Snuffle Dog Beer does not contain any alcohol, any gases or anything else that might make a dog unwell.

The Snuffle range offers either chicken or a mixed beef-chicken brew and a turkey flavour is on the way, with more to follow. The beer is brewed with beef or chicken stock and malt barley extracts, plus mineral oils.

The beer is already available in 25 countries.

A spokesman said: "Snuffle Dog Beer can be enjoyed by your pet as often as you enjoy a beer yourself. The time has come to share the traditional British pastime of drinking with our four-legged friends."

Snuffle Dog Beer comes in a glass 25cl bottle in packs of four.

Sassy loved her bottle of Snuffle ! Mind you she is a chocolate Labrador with 'No hot ashes' printed on her forehead.

Dogs and Ale

Posted by David Pott,

Neither of my two dogs, a Boarder Collie and a Labrador are the least bit interested in drinking beer.

While we've been in the trade we've had four dogs that have really enjoyed a slurp of real ale slops. Of those there was only one, a collie-Lab cross that needed to be rationed to prevent him over indulging. All of the others just took a few slurps and walked away.
