Otter Brewery has raised over £3,000 for the Poppy Appeal.

The total was raised through on-site collection boxes and sales of Poppy Otter, a specially created beer sold in West Country pubs throughout November and December.

The brewery donated 5p of every Poppy Otter sold to the Royal British Legion, totalling £2,800. The cheque was presented to the Royal British Legion’s Devon county chairman Ralph Howard-Williams. Money from the collection box had already been given.
Community fundraiser Carol Arnold said: “Otter already do a lot of fundraising for other charities and communities that they care about but they seem to have pulled out all the stops for us this time. The amount raised is way up on previous years – it’s terrific!”

Otter Brewery’s Patrick McCaig added: “A big thank you once again to all our drinkers, and the boys and girls at Otter, who did their bit in helping us to help the Poppy Appeal carry on their great work. We’ve now proudly supported this charity for the last six years and have a very close personal affinity with the values they have.”
