Great British Chefs launches Alaska seafood recipe app

Great British Chefs has released an Alaska seafood recipe iPad app, available for free from the iTunes store.

The app, created in collaboration with the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, features 60 recipes designed by a team of 17 prominent UK chefs

Some of the featured recipes include Macadamia-crusted Alaska black cod fillet with orzo and salsa verde by Luke Holder; Alaska king crab with leeks, red pepper, cardamom dressing and sea vegetable salad by Dave Watts; maple-cured Alaska salmon by Pascal Aussignac and an Amritsar-spiced Alaska halibut recipe by Vivek Singh.

Other contributors include William Drabble, Robert Ortiz, Nigel Mendham, Andy Waters, Adam Gray, Alfred Prasad, Dominic Chapman, Anna Hansen, Francesco Mazzei, Matthew Tomkinson, Mark Dodson, Graham Campbell and Daniel Galmiche.

Jon Harman, of the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, said: "Alaska seafood is a wild, natural and sustainable ingredient that is incredibly versatile - perfect for creating healthy meals and impressive dinner party dishes.

"The fantastic recipes devised by the world-class chefs in the new Great British Chefs app is testament to what can be done with delicious and high quality ingredients for all levels of culinary expertise."
