Fuller, Smith & Turner has brought out a new permanent ale, named Oliver’s Island.

The 3.8% ABV beer, which takes its name from a Thames island two miles from Fuller’s brewery in Chiswick, will be the brewer’s only gold cask ale and has been brewed using Goldings and Liberty hops and orange peel to give it a “zesty” flavour.

Jane Jones, Fuller’s head of marketing, said: “Oliver’s Island will not only fill a void in our current array of cask products but open consumer’s eyes to a new style of Fuller’s. The unique qualities of this wonderful beer will reach out to our publicans as well as our customers and make for an easy drink any time of year.”

Oliver’s Island will be available to pubs in the next few weeks.
