The hunt for the industry’s brightest and best pub companies is under way, as applications for the 2016 Publican Awards are now open.

The awards highlight the pub companies who have gone above to deliver excellence.

To mark the event’s 25th anniversary, the awards will be moving to an exciting new venue, Battersea Evolution.

Previous winners include Brewdog, Star Pubs and Bars, the New World Trading Company, the Seafood Pub Company and Oakman Inns.

Speaking at the Publican’s Morning Advertiser’s MA300 event earlier this month, Oakmann Inns CEO and founder Peter Borg-Neal stressed the benefits entering awards can have for businesses. Borg-Neal, who has won an impressive three awards, is now on a mission to get Best Food Offer. He said: “Entering awards provides a morale boost for team members and proves to them that they’re working for the right company.

It also acts as free consulting for your business. The process of having someone come in and look around your business forces you to look and what is and isn’t working. Even you if you don’t end up winning on the night, it lifts the quality of your business.”
