Spirit of Harrogate Limited has taken inspiration from the surrounding Yorkshire area as it launches Slingsby Artisan Gin.

The ultra-premium 42% ABV spirit is a local affair with half of the 24 botanicals grown in the Rudding Park Hotel kitchen garden, along with spring water sourced from Harrogate’s aquifer.

Severn sea rosemary, silver posie thyme, lovage and rhubarb create the unique interpretation of London Dry Gin, packaged in a distinctive medicinal blue bottle.

Slingsby Gin pays tribute to William Slingsby, who discovered the unique properties of natural spring water in Harrogate’s Tewit Well in 1571.

Co-founder, Marcus Black, said: “We are extremely proud of our Harrogate roots so it is vitally important to us that we build our local consumer fan base in pubs and bars who share our passion.”

Flavour-wise, the small batch gin balances tart and citrus notes of grapefruit with herbaceous sweet cicely and green tea.
