Pigs can fly? Orchard Pig cider launches unique drone delivery service

Orchard Pig is set to launch an innovative cider delivery service that proves our porcine friends really can fly.

The craft cider brand, based near Glastonbury, is experimenting with a unique drone distribution network that incorporates a humorous Gloucester Old Spot pig design into the build.

With strict commercial flying laws currently holding development back, the company are aiming for a summer 2016 start date.

“By creating a delivery service we’re proud of we want to show that Orchard Pig is capable of doing anything the big companies do, without taking it too seriously,” Andrew Quinlan, founder of Orchard Pig, said.

“Drones have surprisingly been our business’ biggest challenge to date but we’ve overcome bigger ones, so we’re confident we’ll get there.”
