Cointreau launches competition
Cointreau has launched a grant programme in conjunction with French actress Laetitia Casta to help budding independent creatives by pumping £20,000 into one fledgling scheme.

Casta, who is Cointreau’s creative director, came up with the brand’s Cointreau Creative Crew, which is aimed at inspiring women to be themselves.

The grant scheme, however, was launched at the end of February for men and women and will see one entrepreneur awarded with a £20,000 bursary to support a creative project, which can include cocktails, food, or even art, music, design and film.

Experts on the Creative Crew include Rémy Cointreau UK’s Marketing Director Eleonore Moreau, Cointreau’s brand heritage manager Alfred Cointreau, television personality and philanthropist Nick Ede and the editor of the Cocktail Lovers Sandrae Lawrence.

A host of other creatives, including bloggers, actors and artists will also form part of the judging panel.

The winner will be revealed at a grand finale held at Liberty of London on 24 May, where 10 finalists will meet the judging panel in person before a winner is chosen.

Those judging the final winner include Casta, Rémy Cointreau’s ceo Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet, UNESCO artist for peace Guila Clara Kessous, Liberty’s md Ed Burstell and Glamour UK magazine editor Jo Elvin.
