A pub has offered a way out of awkward Tinder dates for women who feel uncomfortable on a night out.

The Brickyard in St Albans has posted a sign in the women’s toilets, offering a helping hand to ensure the safety of its customers.

Customers on a car-crash date have a quick get-out opportunity - to go to the bar and ask staff to help them out.

After the pub’s move viral, and the pub now plans to run an equivalent in the men’s toilets.

Sign

The sign reads: “Tinder date gone wrong?

“Doesn’t look like his picture, or just plain weird?

“If you’re on the date and it’s not going well, come to the bar and ask for Rachelle or Jennifer, and we’ll get you out of it/get you a taxi.

“Your safety is our highest priority.

“If anyone is bothering you or making you feel uncomfortable, please tell us. We will discreetly move them away, and if necessary ask them to leave.

“The brickyard is safe and fun, we want you to enjoy your time here. Talk to us and we’ll sort it out.”
