Dark and spiced rums are rising in popularity, so it's time to put some easy and refreshing rum cocktails on your bar menu, such as the Golden Daiquiri.

In this exclusive drink deconstructed video El Dorado rum brand ambassador Dean MacGregor shows The Morning Advertiser how to make this citrussy little number.

  • 25ml fresh lime juice
  • 25ml sugar syrup (1:1 ratio)
  • 50ml rum (we use El Dorado 5)

  • Build the cocktail (cheapest ingredients first) in a shaker
  • Fill with ice
  • Shake for 30 seconds
  • Strain into a cocktail glass
  • Serve
