Punch hope the offer, running from 15 to 28 August, will see as many as 900 pubs taking part in the promotion with 80,000 pints available to give away.
The deal, which aims to help to encourage football and boost business, is open to all Punch publicans who sell the Heineken brands Strongbow Original, John Smith’s Extra Smooth and Kronenbourg 1664.
Customers redeem vouchers for their free pint thorough freedrinkpubs.co.uk, where they can sign up and then receive an email with instructions on how to get one of the above three drinks.
Stephen Martin, category manager at Punch, said: “We are pleased to announce our second free pint promotion for 2016, following on from our hugely successful offer in May where over 13,000 pints were redeemed across 850 pubs.
“This promotion is clearly a useful tool for Publicans to reach out to their communities, and encourage new customers into the pubs with 99% of Publicans surveyed who took part in the previous free promotion saying they would be willing to take part in similar activity. Also, of those surveyed, 61% said that they found that new customers came to their pub thanks to the promotion. ”
